The disc-type oil centrifuge, as a high speed centrifuge, effectively purifies oil through a combination of centrifugal force and the disc stack configuration. Here’s how it works:

  • Feed and Acceleration: The oil to be purified is introduced into this high speed centrifuge through a feed inlet. The centrifuge is then accelerated to high speeds, typically ranging from several hundred to several thousand revolutions per minute (RPM). The high rotational speed generates strong centrifugal forces within the centrifuge.
  • Separation in the Disc Stack: This oil purifier machine features a disc stack configuration consisting of a series of closely spaced discs or plates. The oil flows between these discs, forming narrow passages known as separation channels. The disc stack design maximizes the available surface area for separation.
  • Centrifugal Separation: As the oil passes through the separation channels, the high centrifugal force acts on the oil and its impurities. Due to the difference in density, the heavier impurities, such as solid particles, water, sludge, and other contaminants, are forced towards the outer edges of the disc stack.
