Marine Type U Flange Butterfly Valve with Soft Sleeve Seated

About product

The Marine Type U Double Flange Soft Sleeve Butterfly Valve is designed to operate at two different working pressures: PN10 (Pressure Nominal 10 bar) and PN16 (Pressure Nominal 16 bar). The valve undergoes testing to ensure its reliability. During the testing process, the valve’s shell is subjected to a pressure that is 1.5 times the rated pressure, while the seat is tested at a pressure that is 1.1 times the rated pressure.

The flanged valve is suitable for a wide range of temperatures, depending on the type of sleeve used. If the valve is equipped with an NBR (Nitrile Butadiene Rubber) sleeve, it can operate within a temperature range of -10°C to 80°C. However, if it is fitted with an EPDM (Ethylene Propylene Diene Monomer) sleeve, it can withstand temperatures from -10°C to 120°C.

In terms of media compatibility, this flanged butterfly valve is designed to handle various substances. It is suitable for use with water, oil, and gas, making it a versatile option for different applications.

Product Detail

Marine Type U Flanged Butterfly Valve

The Marine Type U Double Soft Sleeve Flanged Butterfly Valve is manufactured using a variety of materials for its different components. The body of the flanged valve can be made of cast iron or ductile iron, providing strength and durability. The seat of the valve is available in different options such as EPDM, NBR, VITON, and PTFE, allowing for compatibility with various media and temperature ranges.

The disc of the flanged butterfly valve is made from materials such as nickel ductile iron, AI bronze, or stainless steel, providing corrosion resistance and reliable performance. The stem, which controls the movement of the disc, can be constructed using carbon steel or stainless steel, ensuring strength and resistance to wear.

The bushing, used for smooth rotation of the stem, is made of PTFE, a low-friction material that enhances the valve’s operation. The “O” ring, providing a seal between different parts of the flange butterfly valve, is also made of PTFE.

Stainless steel is utilized for the pin and key components, ensuring durability and resistance to corrosion. These materials are carefully selected to meet the requirements of the flanged valve, considering factors such as working pressure, temperature, and compatibility with the media, ensuring reliable and efficient operation.
